從前，在一個(gè)小小的 town 里，住著一位普通的面包師傅。他每天清晨都會(huì)用最簡(jiǎn)單的工具，面團(tuán)在滾水中翻滾，面包在烤箱中香氣撲鼻。盡管生活簡(jiǎn)單，但他內(nèi)心卻始終保持著一份清廉的信念。
有一天，一個(gè)神秘的 old man 來(lái)到了 town。老男人穿著一件灰色的長(zhǎng)袍，頭發(fā)花白，眼睛卻如同深不見(jiàn)底的 ocean。他走到面包師傅面前，微笑著說(shuō)：" young baker, do you know the story of the honest bread?"
"不，為什么要講這個(gè)故事？"面包師傅疑惑地問(wèn)道。
"because", old man said with a serious tone, "your heart tells me you are a man of principle, but I want to see you face the test of time and see if you still retain that principle."
面包師傅點(diǎn)點(diǎn)頭，心中卻有一絲不安。他知道，老男人的話里可能隱藏著某種考驗(yàn)。
"What test will you undergo?"面包師傅問(wèn)道。
"I will ask you to make a bread for me," old man replied, "but with a twist. You must choose between two loaves of bread, one will be made with honest ingredients, and the other with... well, not so honest."
面包師傅沉思片刻，眼中閃過(guò)一絲堅(jiān)定的光芒："old man, I will choose the honest one, because it is not about the ingredients, but about the heart of the baker."
老男人露出了贊許的笑容："you are a man of honor, young baker. But I want you to understand the power of integrity in a different way. Imagine this: you have a choice between two paths, one leads to success, the other to... well, what is that?"
"Let me tell you a story," old man continued, "once upon a time, there was a baker who always used the honest ingredients. His customers loved him, and he became famous across the land. But one day, a greedy grain merchant appeared, offering him a deal he could not refuse. He could buy the ingredients at a cheaper price, but he would have to add impurities to the bread to make it last longer.
"The baker chose the deal, and his bread became known for its lasting freshness. But deep down, he felt a sense of guilt. He had compromised his principles to achieve success. And as time went on, the bread became less fresh, and the baker's heart grew heavier."
"But you are different, young baker," old man said, placing a hand on his shoulder, "you have chosen a path that is not about the bread, but about the heart of the baker. You will always do what is right, no matter what the cost."
面包師傅感激地點(diǎn)點(diǎn)頭："Thank you, old man. I know now. I will always keep my heart pure, and my bread will always be made with the honest ingredients."
從那以后，面包師傅的故事在 town 中傳頌開(kāi)來(lái)。人們都說(shuō)他是個(gè)誠(chéng)實(shí)的人，面包店里的每一片面包都充滿了愛(ài)心。而老男人的故事也激勵(lì)著每一個(gè)來(lái)到 town 的人都要堅(jiān)守自己的信念。
在這個(gè)故事里，我們看到了清廉的力量，看到了一個(gè)人內(nèi)心的堅(jiān)定。無(wú)論外面的世界如何紛擾，內(nèi)心的清廉永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)被削弱。
